Growing up, we always had a garden. Days were spent snapping peas, making pear butter, taking care to preserve and prepare everything that the earth yielded to
nourish our family, all the while, telling stories talking and making precious memories to nourish our souls. In my late 20’s, I was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic. So, for the next 20 years I went about studying and modifying my diet the best way I could and thought I was ‘healthy’. Then, at the 2017 State Fair of Texas, I was introduced to the World’s greatest cookware, Kitchen Craft. Eureka! A ‘tool’ to cook healthy! Cooking “water free”? This dramatically and almost instantly changed my health! I lost 34 pounds in 2 months without trying! I looked like me again, felt better and thought clearer! WOW! As a natural teacher, I HAD to share.
My careers have always been about helping others find solutions. Passion starts with an impactful life experience. Our family had a friend with congenital vision challenges and I wanted to understand and help others. Over the years I’ve worked with some of the foremost ophthalmologists in the area and added optician to my resume, as well. For the past 14 years, I still work to provide eyeglasses to the needy. Each Christmas, volunteers and I dispense over 260+ pairs of eyeglasses in just a few hours! I have always been known as a great cook. Making healthy food and a beautiful table. Continuing the tradition of nourishing my family, body and soul. 2 years ago, I embarked on this new chapter of my life. Please know, that because of the unwavering love and support of my beautiful mom, Jean; friends and family; and my always faithful fur baby, Tinka; I have been able to travel across our amazing United States and get to know each of you personally! What a blessing! Based in North Texas, I’ve been all over this big state. As, well as, Oklahoma (even coming in second place in the spaghetti sauce contest in McAlister), and seeing the factory in beautiful West Bend, Wisconsin (giving me opportunity to share time with family I hadn’t seen since I was a child), Indiana, Colorado and Louisiana (where most of our family still reside) and experiencing New Orleans at our Kitchen Craft conference. What a place to have some soul filled food. And of course Graceland—‘thank you very much’!
I’m looking forward to many more wonderful years!
Thanks to Kitchen Craft for so many things: for designing with passion an American made masterpiece that really “Changes lives one meal at a time”, for keeping America beautiful with ‘green manufacturing, for providing all the tools and training I needed to reach so many lives in my first 2 years as your Chef, and for the most ethical and positive atmosphere I’ve ever been a part of.
